actually this is a long list of important lithium battery news around the world in 2024Q2, if we’re talking about the most exciting news, they’re regarding solid state battery and fast charging topics as following:

    1. On April 12, 2024, GAC Group achieved an all-solid-state battery energy density of more than 400Wh/kg with the third-generation sponge silicon anode technology and high-capacity solid-state cathode technology, which is more than 52% higher than the volume energy density and mass energy density of the current mass-produced liquid lithium-ion battery, achieving a range of more than 1,000 kilometers. In addition, the single capacity of all-solid-state batteries has exceeded 30Ah.

    2. On April 25, 2024, CATL held the “2024 CATL Passenger Car New Product Launch Conference” at the Beijing International Auto Show, at which a new generation of lithium iron phosphate battery “Shenxing PLUS” was released. The cruising range of the “Shenxing PLUS” battery has exceeded 1,000km, and the fast charging capacity can achieve efficient energy replenishment of 600km in 10 minutes, truly achieving “1 km in 1 second”.

    3. On June 20, 2024, EVE released the 6C fast-charging large cylindrical battery Omnicell. The product has excellent performance and has a 6C fast charging capability, which can provide an electric vehicle with a range of 300 km in 5 minutes.
